Hi there, I recently stumbled this new site.

    http://salpakanonline2.no-ip.org:800/SalpakanOnline/

It's an online "Games of the Generals" with pinoy players.

If anyone here still remember that game ^_^

    It's fun actually.

Much easier and faster than Chess.

    Enjoy!

this is my favorite game back in high school. Chess wasn't my favorite as it is too mental. GoG is tactics and bluffing. It's a psychological game for me :)

    I'll try this one out.

I have to learn this game myself. I never learned it when I was younger, as I found it too crowded with two players plus a "judge." Now that I'm older, I've realized that sometimes generals do need a judge. But then again, sometimes even the judge needs another judge. Haha.

Crucial, I can't get the applet loaded both in Safari and Camino. Hmmm...is there something wrong with the game just now?

I used to memorize the blemishes on the back of those metal pieces as it gives great advantage knowing where the Spies are so my Generals can wreak havoc on the poor lesser ranking officers and Privates.

Just following Sun Tzu's strategy of "know thy enemy"!

hahaha! that is why we've always opted to use new gameboards instead of those old ones.

@Crucial, I'll try with firefox on my macbook tonight.

I haven't been able to make the online game work on any of my browsers: Camino, Safari, Firefox. Something is wrong with the Java plug-in. I never had problems with any other java applets - e.g. Multiply Photo uploader works fine. Hmmm...sayang, I'm itching to play pa naman :D
