Gaim

    Haven't used Gaim.

    If it's any consolation, I'm currently using X-chat aqua.

    yes just like adium.. but its native in linux... there are ways of installing it using darwin port or fink and the terminal.. but im not lucky enough i guess...

    one more thing its much gorgeous than adium.. and it supports yahoo chat room!!!

    I use gaim on linux and windows, for mac Adium and Proteus is the better choice.

    yeah there nice!! but ill still go for gaim..... ill try it again!! :D

    I'm just curious as to why would you choose gaim over adium? (On a Mac)

    Maybe it's the whole "consistency/familiarity" across platforms he's after.

    I can relate in a sense cuz I switched back to Firefox after being a devout camino user - just because I wanted the same "browser experience" regardless of what OS I'm on.

    maybe that's the reason!! ahehe its the only client i used on linux!!! and what i like about it is ican support yahoo chat rooms.. though adium can do the same.. but u have to put the room name manually!!

    i've used gaim for microsoft; trillian is better (aesthetically speaking) :D
