I saw this in Version Tracker. I am now using it with my PowerBook. Has anyone else tried it?

Thread unlocked as it does not constitute piracy. Sorry for jumping the gun. Was wondering why its even on Version Tracker

FYI... you CAN get Frontrow 1.01 from the Apple Support Downloads page.

I'd like to give this program a try on my non i-Sight'ed iMac G5.

I actually tried it long before It was on versiontracker. :) I installed front row on my iBook and was using my t630 phone for remote through Romeo (BT Apps).
I hope the mods can now unlock my thread too?

I discussed this with other mods and we are in agreement that your post was clearly in violation of forum rules. You admitted that it was a hacked version of Front Row and it was before Apple released their free download. That thread will remain locked.

No problem. Before starting the topic, I wondered if this could be considered piracy. But since I downloaded it from Version Tracker, I concluded it was perfectly fine to share it with you guys.:D

The Salling Clicker script (pre- Front Row 1.01) doesn't seem to work on my K750i. Pressing the joystick (any of the 5 directions) brings up Salling Clicker, and pressing any other key just exits it. Anybody who can point me in the right direction to a working script?

Works well enough on my iMac G5...

Interesting that it makes it easier for me now to watch my TV shows that I keep in the movies folder, it even runs a small preview of them before actually selecting, same goes for iPhoto slideshows.

    Kewl... this is a keeper.

Here's a slideshow of it in action.

I've followed Enabler's instructions and somehow, the keyboad shortcut to Front Row does not appear under my System Preferences. What gives?

I had the same problem. I got a bunch of different scripts from the Salling Clicker forums. A couple of them worked well.

Ngi! The Front Row Enabler is a hack made by Andrew Escobar, which was originally from Jackson Brown (the hack that I have). The Front Row 1.0.1 Installer is still locked for the iMac G5 only, notice you have to install it by Pacifist because it checks your Mac type if it is an iMac G5 or not, and you have to use the enabler for it to work without remote. So technically, it is also a non Apple made hack, therefore this thread is also in violation of the forum rules analogous to my post. :) hehe. sorry for being makulit but I think I need to have a clear answer to this. :)

In my own personal view (not speaking in behalf as a mod), it's NOT the enabler that was an issue but the way by which one acquired Front Row PRIOR to it being available for download that IS the issue.

Now as a moderator, I'm sure the thread can be re-opened once you provide evidence that the Front Row you ran on that iBook PRIOR to it being available on Apple's support website was from a iMac G5 with built-in iSight that you own or have direct access to.

    Cheers.

BTW, for romeo users I made a plugin for you to be able to use your t630/t610 phone as remote.

    Keys:

OK key - activate/Deactivate Front Row
Clear key - Back to Front Row
    Joystick - Navigate
    Joystick Press - Select

    or:

    2 - go up
    4 - go left
    5 - select
    6 - go right
    8 - go down
