according to the banner, it gives full access to Windows volumes, and supports all versions of Windows NTFS (from Mac OS X)

more info on their site: http://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-mac/ :) cheers!

Using NTFS for Mac, I'm able to change the name and the ugly icon of the bootcamp partition in my desktop. Sweet! Thanks Jay!

I used to unmount it but now with its nice icon, I just leave it there in the desktop.

how is this different from NTFS-3G? I think NTFS-3G is free.

If I install both, will there be a conflict?

Or you can do the Terminal commands to enable the write-function for NTFS partitions if you're under Snow Leopard.

A better idea rather than to download something that will just add space to your HDD and which you will be using only for the first few days you have it.

You have promoted this many times in the forums. Please be careful as this was not intended by Apple to be enabled by default and there's a good reason for it.

Don't let me say "I told you so!" :p

For those who like to get the Free registration till Dec 7.
Take note that when you install it, it will ask for the Registration Key and Regs number. You have to click the Get free regis and you need to provide your email.
This I believe is only possible till Dec 7 and may not work (getting the free regs) after the said date. So make sure you install it already.

Been using NTFS-3G too and no problems except for formatting NTFS volumes. I stay away from that and use a Windows machine instead.

Not to mention that NTFS for Mac allows the user to disable this functionality quite easily - like an on/off switch. At times, terminal's shell lives up to its acronym in terms of dire consequence: BASH - if one is not careful.
