Buying a dongle for my daughter today (Lazada is on sale)

    She will be studying there.

Which display connection is more commonly used there?

    VGA or HDMI?

(sorry, I was using acetates in college))

Depends on which college she is in. Getting both will be the safest bet.

Safest is to get both. Some schools still have the durable older VGA port projectors and sometimes half the TVs are the newer HDMI ones.

    2-in-1 would be best.

There are other variants that also includes an additional USB port (for thumbdrives), LAN, and/or SD card readers.

I actually just bought it last night...

There are cheaper ones with 1 USB port, but went with Ugreen since there's a shop near our office carrying the brand

What mac model does she have?
Then ask the school what they use for external display.
VGA is still commonly used in schools with HDMi beginning to appear.
Reason the schools use the equipment till usable thus VGA is still common

Haha, same here. Acetates were rad then. Better than manila paper.

Am not a student, ok lang? But it’s HDMI that you should get for her.

She needs both. I have two classes where there's HDMI (I donated my own 5m to the room), and two classes with only VGA.
