An important service message for MobileMe members.

    Dear MobileMe member,

We're pleased to announce the availability of the new MobileMe iDisk app for iPhone and iPod touch.

The iDisk app lets you access your iDisk folders and view files in formats supported by iPhone OS 3.0 including iWork, Microsoft Office, PDF, QuickTime, and more. The app also makes it easy to share files from anywhere. In just a few taps, you can email a link that lets friends and colleagues download a file directly from your iDisk. To learn more, watch the tutorial.

MobileMe iDisk app is available now as a free download from the App Store. Before you install it, please make sure you are running iPhone OS 3.0 on your iPhone or iPod touch.

We hope you enjoy this enhancement to your MobileMe service.

    Sincerely,

    The MobileMe Team

    downloaded the iphone app.

tested viewing excel and powerpoint files from my idisk. so far, so good! nothing fancy, but fairly usable.

it nicely complements local iphone file manager apps like mobile studio.

another value-added service for mobileme subscribers. and more reasons to use idisk!

    thanks, apple! :)

I was reading on the features of Time Capsule, and found out it can now be integrated with Mobileme. If you have a Mobileme account, your Time Capsule will appear as a hard drive on your Mac, so you can access its content from anywhere with an internet connection. With the recent upgrade of the Time Capsule, that's 2 TB worth of data you can bring anywhere.

learn something new everyday. thanks for the time capsule access via mobileme info tidbit, aragorn! that, i think, is generally more useful than "back on my mac" remote mac access. now i gotta figure out how to set it up.

Yeah, saw the features announcement the other day. Kinda makes upgrading a mobileme account storage a little less important, unless you turn off your time capsule frequently.

yes, this is a great add on for Mobileme. been deliberating every time I renew whether it's still worth it. this tilts it in favor of renewing.

You can renew your subscription through the automatic credit card deduction or get a new package with the code. The least expensive should be getting the code through eBay US though. Been doing it like that the last two times and worked like a charm. Just enter the code online you receive via email after payment from the seller and voila, another year of MobileMe goodness. :)
