You don't need any other software for that. Let's clarify things first. When you say "fonts are too small," are you referring to the desktop font? a browser window font? or an applications window font?
    • For desktop font: Right click on your desktop > click Show View Options > at Text size: choose a higher point size (to enlarge)
    • For browser window: Press ⌘ then + (to enlarge) or - (to reduce); Press ⌘ then 0 (zero) for default font size
    • For applications window: This varies depending on the application you use
With regards to the monitor display, I suggest you use the maximum resolution.

    thanks dryxzzz!

well i meant the fonts for all -- for the bar on the top of the screen and top of every application. the default browser and email fonts... the general fonts.

as for each application, yes i do know we can make this bigger, but the default font -- especially for surfing web is very small. if i make the text bigger for a site, it messes up the layout.

surfed the web and lots are complaining about this with the new mac book pros....

there was one guy who mentioned trying tinker tool. anyone familiar?

    thanks.

Use safari 4 to surf the web. It enlarges everything up to scale.
