Fixing Aspect ratio in QT or VLC

    Some videos I download are in formatted in anamorphic widescreen so how do you squeeze the video on QT/VLC into 16:9?

    Apart from Cleaner, ffmpegX will also work.

    you can set the aspect ratio manually in VLC from the preferences>video setting... check the advanced options button then set the source aspect ratio (it's at the bottom) to 16:9...
