An invitation to upgrade from this website:

    The Fastest Firefox Yet

Things move quickly online, and we’ve beefed up the engine that runs Firefox to make sure you can keep up: Firefox 3.5 is more than twice as fast as Firefox 3, and ten times as fast as Firefox 2.* As a result, Web applications like email, photo sites and your favorite social networks will feel snappier and more responsive.

    * Based on the results of a SunSpider test of JavaScript performance on a Windows XP machine.

To check out all new features, view all performance features here.

Learn more about performance upgrade here.

And, it also sports a somewhat new icon.

I prefer Firefox rather than safari.

When i start up safari, it takes about 5-10 secs lagging before it responds. While in firefox, about 1-3 secs lagging time.

This is based on my experience on my laptops.

Safari was never better than Firefox for me :p . Sure, Safari 4 has some cool features but I much prefer Firefox for my total web browser experience. I'm obviously excited about this upgrade :).

I'm already satifisfied with Firefox but I'll still try this out. Claims seem to be too spectacular not to try.

The speed difference is not that noticeable, but then again, I've always got 12 or more browsers open.

I've downloaded it but will probably hold off upgrading just yet. Tab Mix Plus isn't supported yet, which is something critical for me.

What's great in this update though is you don't need any more plugins for Flash video.

@blacksocks: Try checking for Firebug updates, I noticed I was asked earlier to upgrade to a newer beta version which is compatible with FF 3.5.

Starting to feel the speed increase. Feels Safari quick, without the instability.
