It can handle downloading far far more tabbed websites than Safari. Safari chokes on anything more than 10 websites at a given time.

It has Adblock that filters out annoying web bits

    Firefox has plug-ins galore.

You can add different search engines to the search box.

Firefox 2.0 can verify with Google.com if the site you're visiting is fake.

You can browse offline on Firefox (couldnt figure out how to do it with Safari).

What else... Far more people use Firefox than Safari? :)

just downloaded version 2.0. For some reason, firefox uses a different fontset when displaying pages. Sira tuloy ang layout. Tried fiddling with the "default font" control panel- ganon pa din.

Didn't have that problem with firefox before. Could it be a corrupt font?

Contextual menu is missing. I love Firefox because of this. Before all you need to do is click longer than usual and contextual menu appear. On version 2.0 it has been disabled, I need to press control key to achieve that. And a lot of my extensions/addons are not compatible yet.... bummer.

All-in all it's quite snappy and pages load a little faster, even comparable to Camino's speed.

Be careful what you download. Read this, current as of today.

Yes Firefox 2 has not been released yet.

But this article is also a bit inaccurate because the mozilla site has a link to the Firefox 2 Release Candidate and it is available for download here.

I've been using Firefox 2 (RC3) for a week now and its been smooth sailing all the way. I especially love the integrated spell check that even works with Gmail Chats.

The author's intention is to avoid digg-ing/slashdoting mozilla's ftp so that volunteer/mirror hosts can grab a copy of the final releases of FF2.0 with little hassle.

The link I posted is the genuine article and has no RC-ness about it. You're welcome to wait but it's there already for the taking.

Been using it for a while now and i've been loving it, considering that i love safari, safari 2.0 s a great leap from its previous versions... This is basically for all those safari users out there who are skeptic about safari, thats how i felt before... hehe

Downloading this version as I type. I really do enjoy the Firefox browsing experience. I use nothing else these days.

Ok. I just loaded up Firefox 2.0 on my new Black Macbok (Mwahahaha) and guess what?

I like it over Safari. It just seems... I dunno.... "brighter".
    Try it out guys.

I like System Restore the best. Like for example I need to restart but I have lots of tabs open and I need them all for some work I'm doing. I can just set Firefox to load them all back next time I launch the app. Quite similar to Opera's Save Session feature.
