Wow. Final Cut Pro 5, Motion 2, Sountrack Pro and DVD Studio Pro 4!!!

You know the benefits of keeping all your production under one roof. Why not keep all your production tools in one box? Final Cut Studio combines the industry-standard Final Cut Pro 5 — including powerful SD, DV and HD editing capability — with the real-time design engine of Motion 2 for stunning motion graphics, the flexible audio creation and control tools of Soundtrack Pro and the sophisticated SD and HD DVD authoring features of DVD Studio Pro 4.

I love the multicam feature of FCP5. This would be like a switcher during live coverage of an event. You can synchonize as many as 128 angles(!) via in and out points or via timecode! This would definitely be very helpful for those who would like to cover events with multicam set-ups. Let's say you'd want to cover a wedding, a convention or a Keynote presentation :), just fire up those 6 cameras and be the Technical Director of your coverage via FCP5!

    Bravo, Apple!

Hahaha! I wish I had the funds to get one, Myles. Bagay din sa 'yo to!

But really, say any of us here would want a multicam wedding coverage, this would save up a lot of time. The same with motorsports. For those very far parts of the race track that the cables couldn't reach, or a golf tournanment coverage, those very hard to cover areas could be easily shot with a mini dv cam and be synched in the system set-up materials, and do the video inserts via clicking the angle only. Viola! The FCP5 is an instant switcher with or without transition effects.

  5. Wishful thinking but...any chance FCP5 is available as software upgrade like FCP HD?

    Here
Yes, check the FCP Studio page, $699 for FCP users, and $499 for Production Suite users.

I have the software from the Production Suite, but I bought them all separately before the packaged suite was released. So, I may have to goo to the FCP HD upgrade path.
