Yes, there were rumours that Real Madrid signed Mbappe because of the rumours that Ronaldo is leaving. Well, at least, we know one of the rumours is true. Announcing it before the World Cup ends is offside! ;)

What are the odds we would likely not snicker if have a coach named Tite?

    Brazil’s footbal coach Tite.

^Judging by his age, Tite doesn't *score* anymore. :)

I was watching the Brazil game live on TV, and my wife was staring at me when I was laughing as they cameras panned towards him after a missed foul, announcer claiming "Tite is mad, Tite is fuming mad!" :ROFLMAO:

I watched the first quarterfinals match in a bar filled with French folks. Fun! Too bad errors (Uruguay's goalkeeping gaffe and Brazil's own goal) spelled the difference in today's quarterfinals matches. Naturally, it's better to see matches won by brilliance, rather than lost on errors. Hopefully, the France vs Belgium semis will be error-free and brilliance-filled.

Regardless, this has been an incredible World Cup—nine 90th-minute goals so far vs 10 total in the last five World Cups. Plus, no Brazil, Germany, or Argentina in the semis—a first!

France vs. Belgium is the real championship game. But football being what it is, chances are a team from the weaker bracket is gonna limp through to the final, park the bus, and win the trophy after penalty kicks.

There's #NeymarChallenge going on on social media these days. Ugh.. We don't need this. Football does not need this. I kinda feel bad for Neymar getting trolled like this. This was his first competition after months of recovering from an injury and surgery I believe. Yes he dives, but he really takes hits as well.

I hope this #NeymarChallenge doesn't pick up here in the Philippines. Sakit sa ulo if I see Vice Ganda do this.

Haha, except it could also easily be FIFA Africa Cup.

    Consider the players from France:
    Screenshot 2018-07-08 22.53.53.png
21 out of their 23 players are migrants, mostly from Africa, and even one from the Philippines!

    Belgium, the other likely champion:

9 of their players are migrants from Africa.

But then, we all came from Africa. Wakanda forever! ;)

If Mbappe's going to play in the Final of the World Cup, expect Florentino Perez of Real Madrid to break the transfer market record for his services, especially after Ronaldo's sale to Juventus.

If France and England do meet up in the final, it’ll be the Hundred Year’s War all over again, probably in the same pitch that they fought and struggled in the 14th Century, and unbeknownst to those of the Social Age, ended in a stalemate after both sides suffering incredible losses...

Now wouldn’t that be cool to know...

"At 6, Luka Mudrovic had to flee his village because of the war." Hours ago, he led his team to that torn country's first World Cup Finals appearance.

A war-torn country with 4 million people can rise to be world champs, if they band together (and pick the "right sport").

Subtext: versus 100 million crabs trying to play the "wrong sport". ;)

^Which begs the question, “why is Coco Austin amongst the results for president of croatia anyway?”

If Croatia wins the cup after making their first finals, people in the Netherland are gonna throw a fit. The Orangemen are 0-3.
