    Guys, let's be clear about this.

    mbps = megabits per second
    kbps = kilobits per second
    KB/s = kilobytes per second

    PLDT's 999 plan is 1 mbps or 1000 kbps or approx 100 KB/s.

    Totally different things.

    @randyrivera

    I believe your download speed is 750 KB/s and I'm guessing your ISP is Sky BroadBand and you're on their 6 mbps plan.

    sometimes i'd get 500-700 KB/s, other times its just about 150 KB/s... i think it has something to do with the number of seeders as well.

    i'm on skybroadband at 3mbps plan...

    hahahah, dude even if you are just getting 150KB/s it's still great compared to my 150kbps.

    At the very least you will be downloading 10 x faster when my rate is at its peak. damn!

    In the wee hours of the morning 200+kbps. Ordinarily ranges from 0-100 during the rest of the day. Using SkyBroadband.

    Got 2mbps before in Japan. Downloaded an anime episode in less than a minute. I wish we had that kind of speed here. :)

    I use μTorrent or Transmission for torrent files. I got 65 kb/s download and 45 kb/s upload on maximum burst (depending on trackers and/or seeders). My provider is PLDT on plan 990 which has 384kbps bandwidth. Downloading 700mb avi file can take up to 4hrs but that's ok for me. Most importantly, my connection is consistent on any time of the day even on worst scenarios such as Ondoy.

    even with thousands of seeders, sometimes my download speed wont be as fast. it'll be like 20kbps or something like that. i tried downloading the windows 7 x64 rc build 7100 and it had thousands of seeders but download speed was terrible and just canceled it.

    Fastest I got was 195kbps on Vuze last week.

    Package was the old PLDT DSL 1995 (circa May 2005) which was initially 256kbps. Don't really know the speed at the moment since I've never upgraded the plan. Probably it's around 1.5mbps now. Still pay P1995 but it's been very reliable even during Ondoy.

    Here in Laoag, on PLDT 2mbps plan, I get 220 kbps. Average is 160-180 kbps
