Anyone else playing this? Everyone seems pretty hyped about this game. Also been hearing good things about the game, so I started playing it today around 1AM. Looks addicting. BTW, for those curious, yes it works on bootcamp. Worked flawlessly on Vista32. Running an MBP 2.4 with 2GB RAM and the 8600GT 256 version. This was after downloading the patch from the fallout site itself. Not sure what the settings were when I was playing. After downloading the patch, a prompt comes up saying something about detecting hardware and then optimizing settings so I left it at that.
hey sonic, was watching my bro play that last night on PS3...sobrang layo sya from the previous fallouts! can't wait to get sucked into it again... hows the performance on a mac? sluggish?
I've been getting 60 fps. Forgot what the settings were, but antialiasing wasn't even turned off, it was set to 4. Will take screenshots later.
Finished the game a few days ago. It's an amazing experience but it's a far cry from what I believe the Fallout series should be. The only things I hated about Fallout 2 were the minimal soundtrack in the game which could have been more and the main story but other than that, I believe it's a very good contender for game of the year.
Im playing it on PS3. I actually bought a PS3 just to play this game. I was contemplating on setting up a new PC gaming rig or buying a PS3... guess I got the mac curse... I couldn't go back to PC! Great game! Im a big fallout fan so Im biased.... hehe! Just check the reviews for yourself Playing a sniper build (Small guns, sneak and repair skills tagged). Can't wait to finish it so I can start again as another build; probably an explosives expert with big guns and repair coz I now know where to get them.
Still waiting for my PC version copy from DataBlitz. Keeping myself busy with RA3 until then. Fun game!
I think i have to upgrade my pc before i can get this game even though i have been waiting for it for a long time. i finished fallout 1 and 2. i even played Wasteland on the Apple 2 which was the original inspiration for this game.
I just finished Fallout 3 (PS3) main quest using a "good" male character not long ago. But I wasn't able to discover many locations and side quests so I just started all over with a female "evil" character this time.
I'm planning to play this using my 2.0 Aluminum MacBook. They say the requirements are the same as that of Oblivion, which ran okay when I played it. Will the lag be horrible?
love this game. shame i had to stop playing though. i've got no time for anything else but schoolwork now
