    Re: Facetime question?

    I can't connect using my ip4 to my gf's ipt4..

When she calls me using my mobile#, I can see her calling, but when I accept it's stuck on connecting (and on her side it just keeps on ringing, like I'm not answering).

If I call her using her email address, she doesn't see any calls at all..

Are we missing some kind of setup? I've tried following the port forwarding in the apple site, but still no good :(

    Re: Facetime question?

Happens to me when i connect via ip4 to mac but after severals attempts the call would connect. May be the server is busy or something. Now i decided to disable facetime after reading that it eats up battery (just wanted to check if its true). For now ill use ym for video calling.

    Re: Facetime question?

I've never really noticed any drastic reduction in battery life while Facetime is turned on. Plus I think it's more expensive in the long run if you're using an iPhone 4 if you keep toggling it on and off. Your phone will keep sending an international text everytime you turn Facetime on (to the UK if I'm not mistaken).

    Re: Facetime question?

happened to me as well, if you'll backread a bit you'll see I was able to solve it by manually inputting 4.2.2.1 as the DNS server in the WiFi configuration of both iPhones. The WiFi you're on may not allow the connection especially if its behind a Firewall.
