I don't know where to post this problem. I can't get my headset to work with my macbook and I don't know why. I already chose line-in in System Pref>Sound but no luck. I also tried installing Soundsource, Soundflower, and Audio Hijack. Is this always an issue with macbooks? Please help.

Just a thought: are you sure there isn't a "mute" switch some where on the headset, or cord?

There's no mute button. I'm sure. It's just strange. I might be the only one who has this problem
