    Hi guys,

I've been trying to make the IMAP service of GMAIL work with Entourage 2008 but it can't seem to work, giving me this error:

Authentication failed because Entourage doesn't support any of the available authentication methods

Any ideas? I followed the directions in the GMAIL site to the letter but it ain't still working :( any ideas?

Don't waste your time configuring Entourage in your mac, just uninstall it and use Apple Mail instead, it works fine with Gmail. ;)

uhm I kinda know that, but I need the added functionality of Entourage. I don't care if it's slower.

Have you already changed your Gmail account settings so it can support IMAP?
If not, when your logged-on to your Gmail account go to Settings then look for Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab. Then choose Enable IMAP.
After that configure your Entourage again.
    See if it works.

    Hi Kelvin,

This is already a late reply but were you able to make it work already? I did just yesterday.

    Check this out: http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2007/11/connect_entourage_2004_to_gmails_imap_service.html

It's for an older version but it still applies.

    ;)
