Hi guys, I've been trying to make the IMAP service of GMAIL work with Entourage 2008 but it can't seem to work, giving me this error: Authentication failed because Entourage doesn't support any of the available authentication methods Any ideas? I followed the directions in the GMAIL site to the letter but it ain't still working any ideas?
Don't waste your time configuring Entourage in your mac, just uninstall it and use Apple Mail instead, it works fine with Gmail.
Have you already changed your Gmail account settings so it can support IMAP? If not, when your logged-on to your Gmail account go to Settings then look for Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab. Then choose Enable IMAP. After that configure your Entourage again. See if it works.
Hi Kelvin, This is already a late reply but were you able to make it work already? I did just yesterday. Check this out: http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2007/11/connect_entourage_2004_to_gmails_imap_service.html It's for an older version but it still applies.
