folks, i seem to be having an issue with Entourage '08 (history: just switched to Mac last Dec '07) -- my problem is, y'know when i get emails from my colleagues at work via Outlook, i receive their emails fine but when i send an email to myself via Outlook and pull it out from my Entourage, i don't see my own email in HTML format and if i send an attachment like an excel file, i only see winmail.dat as an attachment on Entourage -- not sure if this an issue to begin with so please help me first and reserve your comments for later  what could i have touched on my Outlook?

Go to your Entourage preferences. Then to the Mail & News --> Compose pane. Check if your settings are actually set to make HTML mail and if your attachments are encoded in AppleDouble (for any computer). You might also want to try setting the encoding to Windows just to try it out if it works.

Remember, this is version 12.0, I'm sure there are still a lot of bugs in it considering that it is still Microsoft software. Maybe a future Office 2008 update will address several issues with the initial version.

thanks Mod. i've actually tried that; i've done test emails last night and i found out that if i send from Outlook and i don't attach any image on the email or if i don't change some fonts sizes etc, it'll be received in Entourage as if it was sent as all text; i'll continue to be on the lookout for the fix

Any Entourage 2008 experts around here? I got another issue. I'm stumped. Here's the error I've been getting since Friday and I don't have any other trick. The IT guys at work (yeah we're still on IMAP) said they have not changed anything at all (read: my work email has been working flawlessly since Day One). I think the issue now is with Globelines.

So if any of you guys encountered this error before, please let me know how to deal with this :slanted:

i usually get that error when (a) our server is actually down; or (b) my internet connection is flaky.

Thanks quicksilver! I guess the issue is with Globelines as I have no problems sending/receiving on the BlackBerry.
