Unfortunately our options for EVs right now are fairly limited. Official local releases are coming from luxury car brands like Jaguar, Audi and Porsche. The Nissan Leaf is still expensive at 2.8M. The cheapest electric car is from chinese car manufacturer BYD. The BYD Penguin which sells at 1.6M.
When are car brands going electric? We look at each manufacturer's existing EV models and when they intend to ditch petrol and diesel engines for good.
