What do you use when you want to charge your iPhone while listening to music? I see dual lightning adapter options, but only unknown brands. *I can't find an exisiting thread. Please merge if there is any.
I’ve always meant to order the Belkin Lightning Audio + Charge Rockstar but haven’t gotten around to.
the belkin's are 40usd a piece, though. I scoured a few malls trying out alternatives and unfortunately, even a supposedly branded one like Baseus, does not work. If the belkin worked, I think it will still be better to buy a wireless/bluetooth earphone. Same price and you can use it with your other devices.
Hi! I ordered mine sa shoppee and been using it for two weeks already. Unknown brand din but it works...
Just word of caution -- it is a hit or miss every time Apple releases an iOS update. Best to stick with MFI-certified ones.
Gonna be THAT GUY but I would suggest you put your hard earned money towards an AirPods investment. Fulfills your requirement + true wireless. The belkin one looks bulky to dangle around your phone.
Yes I know, in my own experience, i have these so called apple certified charger cables bought from urban gears and after a year of using it “the accessory not supported” always pops up, so even if its mfi certified, its still a hit or a miss...
It rarely happens some MFI cables get booted out and Apple does admit when they make that mistake and fixes in the next update. Most of the time however it's the cable that gets busted when that happens...some of my MFI cables went that way. e.g. my Fuse Chicken cable went kaput last week but I noticed it showed the 'This accessory is not supported' intermittently last month. It was a sign. I had it for over 2 years I guess.

I have the Belkin dual lightning charge and audio adapter and I bought it at the time of its release since it was the first of its kind, it was a bit overpriced, imho. In retrospect, I barely used the adapter since I have multiple bluetooth earphones at ready for use but in rare occasions wherein I feel the need to listen to my music while charging my phone, in the backdrop of energy depleted bluetooth earphones, the adapter comes in handy. Be wary that not all lightning cables for charging will work with the adapter, even the expensive ones from reputable brands. I however use the lightning cables from apple itself and belkin, and these work flawlessly. For the other brands that I had tried, namely fuse chicken and the kanex lightning cables, they work seldomly. For the audio, I have only used the apple wired eaprhones included from the Iphone 7 plus packaging and they work as expected and never failed in delivering sound while connected to the adapter; then again I rarely use my wired audio cables as I rely heavily on bluetooth connection for my music immersion. The audio quality comparing the use of the Belkin adapter and without using one (direct connection to the phone), is more or less the same, but I am not an audio expert nor I have used enough wired audio cables to offer a sound assessment of the quality difference per se. In summary, if you mostly use your phone for music needs and rely heavily on wired audio cables to listen to your music, this adapter is a must, but at a 2,690 price point from Belkin, it’s hard to swallow as I don’t think this functionality - the ability to listen from and charge your phone - should be priced that high.
For 3k+ and above, i can just buy an advanced DAC with 3.5mm jack and a lightning port for simultaneous charging and it will be worth more than a simple splitter/adapter
Bought mine from Amazon and had it shipped to the Philippines. Bought it at $34 not including the shipping and import fees. Worked perfectly and didn't have any problems.
