Right now I don't care what platform it comes out on. I'll still get to play it on August 5!! Even if it is my brother's PC.
To give us Mac maniacs an idea of how fast our Macs should be to run Doom 3 with minimal pain here are the suggested PeeCee specs Low-End: 1.5GhzP4 or equivalent 512MB Ram Geforce4 Ti 4800 or Radeon 9500 Mid-Range: 2.4GhzP4 or equivalent 1GB RAM Geforce5950 or Radeon 9800 Pro/XT High_End: 3.4GhzP4 or AMD equivalent 2GB RAM GeForce 6800 Ultra or Radeon X800 XT PE. As per Adel's link I'm guessing it'll run on at least a '02 Quicksilver. I may opt to upgrade my PeeCees to play it as well.
According to the article it should run adequately on a 1.5 - 2.0Ghz PC. I think that effectively takes my humble Quicksilver out of the running this early. Like Melissa, I think I'll have to turn to the Dark Side for this...
I'll upgrade my computer as soon as Doom 3 comes out since that will be the new gaming engine for quite a while. So I'll wait before upgrading.
