i love the feature where you bind the application to a specific "space". got limewire, itunes, miro and iphoto in their specific spaces. the best thing is there is no lag or graphics issues when switching spaces. very snappy and smooth.

I would have liked Spaces more if only it could map one or more spaces (virtual desktops) onto a different display. I typically use two displays at work, my Macbook Pro, and an external display. Unfortunately, Spaces treats two displays as one desktop. So when I switch Spaces, both displays change.

But then, I suppose Spaces was conceived for single display users, Spaces effectively extending their single desktop via virtual desktops.

Before, no. I said to myself, everything can be organized already in one "desktop".

Now, I make use of Spaces to hide/switch desktops (especially when my girlfriend passes by) when there are things restricted to be seen. Hehe! This is serious.

By the way, also use Expose a lot.

I've temporarily disabled Spaces. It seems like it slows down my system when I'm using a lot of apps like Aperture, iPhoto and iTunes. Aperture seems to be affected the most. But I still like Spaces, I'll try it again if any software updates makes it more stable.

I'm surprised it slows down your mac bacchus, i didn't think it would take up a lot of ram space aside from those apps you run. Oh well, it would be so weird not using spaces when you're on Leopard!

I enabled spaces on my expose, mapped it on my F5 function key, and also on option+arrow keys for navigating around it. hope this helps you! Haha!

Control+arrow key is my shorcut. Spaces is one of the many many reasons why I don't wanna shift back to PC. :D

I tried using Spaces. Liked the way it cleared up my desktop. However my wife found it a pain to use so I'm back to being out of Spaces... hehe

I'm back to using it again. I think one of the apps slows down Spaces for some reason (not just the apps I mentioned). But I have to minimize using Aperture and iPhoto at the same time. Without Spaces my system will be slow with these apps, how much more with Spaces on :)

I used to have spaces on for about two months and yes it is pretty nifty. However, i had to turn it off because unfortunately my machine dont have much mac power to sustain it especially when i do heavy graphics. :(
