I have a Speck Crystal case for my MBP, but I rarely use it. Only when I'm traveling, especially when at the airport.

It adds bulk, but it's worth it.

A sturdy sleeve and a well padded bag is all you need to keep your Macbook protected. :)

I suggest to bring your Macbook in a local reseller store and check out the sleeves there. Some of my favorites are Moshi Codex (pricy but my top pick), huzzk sleeves and the civilian lab radiator. The Moshi is available in PowerMac Center and the huzzak and radiator in Digital Hub.

I got my moshi codex for 4K php at PowerMac I believe (or was that 4,500?) for my 17 inch Macbook Pro. The 13 inch version should be a bit cheaper. I remember the Huzzuk goes for 2K at Digital Hub.

When I travel abroad, my 17 MBP never leaves my Moshi Codex and so far the chassis still pristine like how it came out of the box.
