This is how the Disney Hotstar app looks like. I have the disney+ app but that does not allow me to access the content. Geolocation block.

Good news for Disney+ subscribers. Disney has decided to release the Artemis Fowl movie at Disney+ instead of a movie / cinema release.

Just sign up again in month or two...bx..

Hamilton Is Coming to Disney+ Very Soon
The musical production, which was recorded in 2016 and was supposed to hit theaters next year, will be available to stream this summer.

We missed this in NYC bec ticket prices were too high, so will settle for the small screen...

Watched Artemis Fowl recently. Just like in Frozen, Josh Gad steals the show.

Ian Holm, who was Skinner in Pixar’s Ratatouille, and Ash in Alien, died today. He was 88.

It’s been reported that Disney+ no longer offers a free trial. Very timely that they removed the free trial before Hamilton goes up this July.

I just renewed my subscription for a month just to be able to watch Hamilton. As a bonus, the kids will be able to enjoy the other programs for the duration.

I imagine Hamilton will start streaming some time on Saturday, local time.

And it will be epic.... in every sense of the word.

Hamilton was an amazing production. Those close up shots! Shows you how those front rows seats are spit shower distance! :D I was sitting on the second row the second time and I saw it first hand. Definitely a Covid19 danger zone nowadays and why broadway is shutdown for the rest of the year.

The movie is totally a different experience as you are watching it in the eyes of the director. There is so much happening in that show that you really have to see it live to appreciate everything. I somehow felt restricted when my eyes couldn't linger out to the sides of the stage to see what the rest of the cast and ensemble were doing.

    But....10/10.

Same here. We're roughly a day ahead of the US so I was kinda surprised when I saw that it was already up this afternoon. But since I was still technically on WFH hours, I had to wait until after dinner. In fact, I just finished it a few moments ago.

    Hi guys!

Can anyone teach me what's the best way I can get a Disney+ account for our home? And when I say best way, talk to me like I'm a 5 year old?:ROFLMAO: (I'll take the "You use gadgets too much na, go to sleep 5 year old" jokes na :D

You're gonna need a VPN to access geo restricted content. ExpressVPN is what I use.
Easiest way to subscribe for Disney+ would be via iTunes US. You can buy iTunes US gift cards over at Amazon which you can email to yourself and redeem.

Wife is happy. She's been following Hamilton since 2017. We were supposed to watch it in Toronto this year (that was her plan... I didn't know if we could actually afford the tix!) but of course COVID.

She's been watching it for at least 3 times now. She's loving it. I like it – thank god for subtitles. My favourite character: The King.

There is no easy way, TBH. Adult supervision is required (hehe, get it?)

The "best way" depends on what you already have at your disposal. I am not an authority by any means on this, but from what I went through, there are at least two (2) distinct checks that you have to pass:

    1. A means to make your devices appear that they are in the US. (ie. VPN)
    2. You'll need a way to subscribe using a US-based account or credit card.

How I was able to access D+....

    1. I have a dedicated router that has a continuous VPN connection to the US. It's on a separate VLAN and SSID so any WiFi or wired device on my network that connects to this VLAN/SSID will automatically have a US presence. That way, I can have multiple devices access US content at the same time with just one account.

    2. I used my Roku US account (which I signed up a long time ago) to subscribe to D+.
