Apple (specifically Steve Jobs) and Dell (specifically Michael Dell, a.k.a. he-who-got-dissed-by-Putin-at-Davos) have a storied past so this should come as no surprise.

Dell is throwing its hat into the tablet market, with the Apple iPad at its crosshairs.

Exciting times ahead for consumers, especially the tablet target market. And speaking of "target market", I bet those built-in cameras and Flash capability that Dell will be offering will catch the attention of some folks.

I miss the Apple vs Dell "rivalry". Remember when Michael Dell was asked some years ago on what he'd do with Apple if he was in charge (Jobs just returned to Apple back then)? He said he'd shut down Apple and give the money back to the shareholders. A couple of years after that, Apple rocketed past Dell in terms of value, earnings and equity and in effect, making Michael Dell eat his own words. :p
