    Yep i agree, appzapper in my experience, and i'm sure for a lot of us here, has proven itself very well.

    Re: Uninstalling Applications

    Ey man thanks for this link. I just tried it out and dumped AppZapper in favor of it.

    For those who haven't tried it. Basically it has the same functionality as AZ, in its most "basic" mode. (the whole drag app to icon, then it'll display related files)

    But it has a lot of extra stuff (like displaying/deleting language packages, cache files, unused files, complete application and system accessory listing [whatever that means] )

    I just deleted 2GB worth of language packages.

    It also has a archive section where it'll consolidate the files related to an app you "uninstalled" and put it in an archive... should you want to "reinstall the app" you can drag the archive back daw... ewan ko nalang kung gumagana ng maigi to, but di ko naman kelangan.

    You also have the option to install a daemon that logs whatever you install so it can catch and record EVERYTHING (because AppZapper, and CleanApp can miss some [trivial] stuff sometimes) - you can also not use it, then it'll just act like AZ I guess.

    It's about 3USD cheaper, but obviously with a whole ton of extra features... and I can honestly say that it can do what AZ does. Caveat lang is it takes longer to load (meron pa maarteng animation kse) but then it's not like you launch these sorts of applications on a regular basis.

    AppDelete: An Alternative to AppZapper

    have any of you heard pf AppDelete? i came across it over the web and seems to be a good app. haven't tried it yet though. i thinks it's like AppZapper. it has a dra and drop function and deletes associated files of the program ou are deleting. i guess i'll stop blabbering and get you the link. hahaha

    Re: AppDelete

    hi. here are some comments from philmuggers on appdelete. i agree it's a great app, and it was made by a friend of mine who lives here in davao. in other words, it's philippine-made, although the maker himself is an american (with a pinoy heart!)

    this is the alarm clock, right? if your problem is that it always says Aurora Wakeup Helper is in use, just uncheck "Enable Alarms when Aurora is not running" in the preferences then try to uninstall it again.

    Well normally just drag the app to the trash icon and that will uninstall the app already.

    Highly recommended to use AppZapper

    ===
    Everybody loves the drag and drop nature of OS X. Drag an app into your applications folder, and it's installed. You'd think it would be that easy to delete an app — just a matter of dragging it to the trash. But it's not. Applications install preferences, caches, and other support files throughout your computer that take up space and generate clutter. Deleting these by hand every time you delete an app is a pain.
