Hello peeps. I was looking for a Tiger equivalent of Leopard's Web Clip Dashboard widget and I found this: http://www.fondantfancies.com/blog/3001239/ It works but not like Web Clip where you can select borders. Hope you find it useful.
Question, how do you remove the web clip in your dashboard? I accidentally activated mine and I could no longer take it out of my dashboard.
click and hold the web clip while activating dashboard. Then release the clip and exit dashboard. Hope that helps.
Hmm... The web clip is already on my dashboard. How can I activate dashboard again when it is already activated?
Do you mean remove it (just click the x mark) or place it on the desktop? If the latter you can see the link below (oddly enough, from Wikipedia) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashboard_(software)
@shinrai Thanks for the link. I finally figure it out last night. I was able to remove it as I played with the widget. Thanks again.
Hi. I have created several Web Clip Widgets on my Dashboard. However, one of these widgets got positioned outside of the display, probably after I resized it and positioned it near the edge of the display. Whenever I launch my Dashboard, I would hear the video (the web clip is a YouTube video) being played back, meaning it is still on my Dashboard. Is there a way for me to bring it back within my display, so that I could re-position it away from the edge of my screen? Or, is there another way for me to delete that widget? The widget doesn't show up even after I click on the "+" on the lower left corner of the Dashboard screen. All my other widgets show up with the "x" on each widget's upper left corner. Thanks for any tips you can share with me!
Show your widgets then click on the + button on the lower left of your screen. Click Manage Widgets button besides the + button and a widget will appear. This will list down all your currently used widgets with checkbox on the left of each. Just toggle the corresponding checkbox to deactivate then activate again the widget from the list then exit this Manage Widget window. Now, go back to the + button and look for your desired widget you wish to add. Look for it thoroughly, it's just sitting somewhere (in alphabetical order). Hope this helps...
Thanks, dryxzzz, your tip was very helpful! I just had to uncheck and re-check the "Web Clip Widget". All web clips were disabled, and I just have to create new ones. Thanks again!
