Folks, Anyone here into custom built vans. Typically cargo vans such as the Foton Toano, Hyundai H350 or the Ford Transit are customized to fit one’s needs and with the sheer size of these vans, you can practically put everything from multiple captain’s seats, tv, Nespresso, even a toilet. It’s a cheaper alternative to the uber expensive Alphard.

Is the custom work compliant with US DOT safety standards?

Perhaps the Alphard is expensive because they do not take shortcuts beyond what is skin deep?

Hmm. I suppose not because we’re in the Philippines. Lol. Most of these cargo vans are Euro complaint. I don’t see any standards for these types customizations. It’s almost like a mini RV.

Tough luck on them then if an accident happens.
