Any muggers on here who dabble/invest in them? I'm slowly getting into them and was wondering who else in the local community does. My friend is mildly aggressive on them and I wish I got in when he started doing it, but considering the number of alt-coins out there and how they're projected to develop, I'm starting to put a stake on some of these coins.

tread carefully, especially with alt-coins. Stick to bitcoin. I lost money on alt-coins.

What alt-coins did you get? I'm mainly targeting Monero at the moment.

Also, where'd you get bitcoins locally? I find that current local options (coins.ph and buybitcoins.ph) are priced high compared to our western neighbours.

I'm interested about getting into bitcoins. Do you have a guide on how to start investing in them?

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/533fxl/rbitcoin_faq_newcomers_please_read/

I mostly just scoured thru reddit and watched a few YouTube videos. Easiest way to locally acquire bitcoins is thru coins.ph. There are many other sites (check the link on top) but there are geo-restrictions for the popular ones as of the moment while others require some extra steps (like opening an OKPay account). I always fall back to reddit if I'm insure about a particular site, so don't just carelessly try and purchase because it looks good.

I see you guys are the most trusted PH sellers on localbitcoin, which is great! I've never used that site though. How do you guys do transactions? PayPal, bank transfer, etc? Fees?

Wow, bitcoin and dash are valued really high lately.
How can we buy dash or ethereum locally?

I use coins.ph. Easy to transfer Peso to Bitcoin and vice-versa. Load via 7-11, GCash, BDO, etc. Use referral code 1zfxbz for PhP50 credit. The iOS wallet is usable.

Coins is definitely one of the more convenient options locally, but their rates are also higher compared to their US/European counterparts.

If you want to maintain multiple altcoins, JAXX is your best bet. You can convert from one coin to another within the wallet app since it uses Shapeshifter in the background.

First time I've heard of this wallet. Gotta look them up on reddit; security is the biggest factor when it comes to these things.

On another note: boy am I kicking myself when I said bitcoin was too high to buy at P44,000, and proceeded to buy just a small increment. lol
