DOTr to inaugurate cruise port in Ilocos Sur | Inquirer
mm…good development specially for cruise ships based in Taiwan and HK. The other cruise stop is of course Boracay. Palawan, Iloilo and Legaspi are also potential stops provided that the DOTR expand the port facilities to be cruise ship-ready.
Not sure about casinos in Boracay, Palawan and Iloilo...
But I'm sure Ilocos was opened for Fort Ilocandia
Mm..not casinos but more of offering local tourist spots im those areas as shore excursion options for cruise ship passengers and to introduce foreigners to the local culture and cuisine. No need or demand for casinos since they have those on board.
Ok... not being racist...
If a cruise passenger is:
Malay -> (South East Asian) then its all about the sights, the food and experience
Indian -> no idea what they're doing (pero sila yung magulo)
Caucasians -> some like the sun, some love shopping, some love casinos (but they all tip well)
Chinese -> they all go to the Casino. Vessel's can't open their casinos in local waters. So the Chinese will be itching for the next possible place where they can play
