This is a practical piece of advice I also recommend. N95 is very uncomfortable to use especially for an extended duration. I hate using it during surgery as it just causes too much pressure on my face and around the neck because the fit needs to be snug for it to work.
Our DOH "experts" will read this and take their time to study it until were the last country with the virus!
I find this a little “conflicting”. The first line says “very low risk of transmission from surfaces”. Yet, scenarios 7, 8 and 9 mention high formite/surface transfer risk and ‘surface touch awareness’. Ano ba talaga? It’s like saying low risk from surfaces but the moment you touch a surface it becomes high risk? Need a little help here…..
I think what they mean is that while there is a significant chance that one can pick up virus particles from formites (objects that are contaminated), the possibility that one will actually be infected from such an encounter is quite low.
Doubling surgical mask is not recommended as it would still result in poor fit on the sides of the mask. Better wear a good fitting cloth mask over a surgical mask.
mm…US CDC recommends double masking. https://www.cnet.com/health/should-you-wear-two-masks-to-prevent-coronavirus/

Reusable respirators particularly from 3M has silicone cushioning that is far more comfortable and tolerable compared to the disposable N95 masks. That's what I use when I do my COVID rounds.
mm…”The rate of severe cases per 100,000 of the population among unvaccinated people is far higher than among those who have been inoculated with two doses, showing that even with immunity waning, shots provide some protection against serious illness.” Vaccination still works well even with Delta variant. Unvaccinated still the main victims. The recommended interval for the third jab in the US is 8 months after the second, while in Israel, it is shorter. FDA is requesting Pfizer to submit their vaccine for full approval. It is a mystery why Pfizer has not done so. Full PH FDA approval is crucial in turning the tide against vaccine hesitancy. Where we are at….Covid Resiliency Index shows the Philippines at no. 52 or second to the last country, meaning we are performing very poorly in addressing the pandemic. Surprise!…..not! https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-resilience-ranking/
Great! My cousin also gifted me with a 3M half-face respirator recently which I started using during surgeries. I can tolerate it better, plus I get to look a lot like Bane from The Dark Knight movies.
Mm…US FDA scientists does not recommend a booster shot for the general population. Not enough data. This is getting confusing since there appears to be no consensus from the experts. Hays….
My brother-in-law's father just died yesterday due to covid complications in Pampanga, also fully vaccinated with Sinovac. Problem with him though is that he already has diabetes, liver problems because of alcohol, and smokes from time to time. No vaccine will fully help you unless you're healthy.
