It’s 4 pm on the last day of the supposed transition to another kind of GCQ, and they have yet to release guidelines. Haay.

This is probably the most disorganized government we had, and the sad thing is we can’t do anything (until the next elections at least).

What's more worrying and sad at the same time is maybe this administration's attention and resources are all focused already on the elections next year, and not at all on the pandemic, what with all the billboards, streamers, party conventions, and all.

My officemate decided not to cancel his vacation to Cebu. We advised him to cancel his plan.

After his one week stay at their home, he was ready to go back to work here in Metro Manila but his antigen test showed he is COVID positive last Monday.

What's interesting is he is the one in their family that got infected (mild condition). His family must have been so worried because his wife is unvaccinated and his children are still minors.

He is fully vaccinated with Pfizer btw.

It’s back to MECQ until Sept 15 for NCR. Apparently, they had to spin the roulette again.

The consequences of government ineptitude and lack of planning, multiply by a thousandfold:

Priority kasi ni tatay dugong is yung (part ng) negosyo niya, aka DOH and OUR government.

Todo defense at damage control sa mga kagagawan ng Davao crew niya, as it has been unfolding as the mantle is slowly being pulled. You'd know as he never appears midweek, and when he does so, its some sorry excuses for his poons and never about the people.

    Sorry for the OT

I was expecting this before he was elected.

We have been ruled by the North for so long, with the same names in Forbes' richest

Having a "new" guy from the South will mean a new batch of businessmen who will need to enter the "list"

But to take advantage in the midst of an ongoing pandemic that's wreaking havoc on public health and the economy? They're taking the term "walang delicadeza" to another level.

do you vote the usual names and make the rich richer? the usual names are also known to make a lot of donations during hard times as they are already 2nd-3rd generations in their family.

or do you vote someone new?

can't we really get rid of corruption? sadly, no. constitution does not allow us to have foreigners in national posts :D

Which is why I said, if these same people win the next elections again...well, you know the rest.

We were informed before by our Property Manager that if there are more than 2 covid cases in the bldg, the entire bldg would be on lockdown--this was the case when we had covid last July 2020. Now, since people need to make a living despite the current situation, this is clearly not feasible.

Last month, there were 2 units with covid cases (entire family was presumed covid positive as well) in our building but no news of floor lockdown or building lockdown. Of course, there should be no one entering or leaving the affected units--that's a given.

In our condo. of the 4 buildings, only 1 unit has a positive case. which makes me believe that person is NOT yet a regular resident.

Condo is fairly new with the oldest building handed over exactly a year ago

My personal theory. People bought units for "investment" -> possible rent
A member of their family tested positive and will need to undergo isolation
Since their condo unit is presently vacant, ask the Covid patient to use the unit while in isolation.

I wonder just how many APORs would be fortunate enough to have an alternative place to crash in if necessary? In our case, most of our employees don't have. Even in my social and business circle, those who have "halfway houses" would not even reach 10 so I can't find the heart to tell anyone to "better have an alternative option for a place to stay in :)".

But that's just me. Baka nga sadyang magkaiba tayo ng circles na ginagalawan so I don't know much APORs who would be capable for finding (and afford) an alternative place other than their present residence.
