Just finished with my 2nd Sinovac jab. Still ok hopefully it will remain the same. I have heard from colleagues that the effects of the 2nd was more pronounced than the 1st. took 500mg paracetamol. Let's see.

Just had my first Pfizer/BioNTech dose today.

Nurse was very light-handed; didn’t even realise the jab was done. Took 2x paracetamol when I felt light headed couple of hours later (I was nearing the start of my next shift so can’t get sick!)

Here’s to seeing loved ones in person soon!

^kinakabahan ako every time you guys mention "paracetamol" after the 2nd jab...

I'm allergic to pain relievers (except Tramadol and Arcoxia)

Didn't declare it on my form as I strongly believe getting vaccinated is more important.

mm…am a fan of Arcoxia. Mabilis. Tulugan mo na lang if no pain reliever for you. You can also try cold and hot compress at the injection site where the pain is. Drink turmeric tea (anti- inflamatory).

    I'm a big fan of Tramadol. (y)

My heart pounds when I watch news on India. I just hope we get to be vaccinated soon.

I can handle the pain... Fever (and other side effects) is the issue.

I don't have have a doctor/surgeon here and I can't fly to Singapore if anything goes wrong.

Anyway, as I said earlier. Covid times, getting vaccinated is more important.

Same here. Presently regularly monitoring news from India

The wedding we were supposed to attend...

Friends just told me, a number of non-vaccinated guests from Europe got infected and presently unable to fly home.
Guests from Singapore (all vaccinated) tried to fly to UAE and Sri Lanka and stay there for 15 days. Last night, they received news from Singapore that their re-entry was rejected by ICA

If we attended the wedding, we will also be denied entry here.

I am now on my 3rd day since my 2nd dose. I simply followed the 500mg Paracetamol routine , which I took immediately after the shot then another at dinner . Next day for breakfast.

I took abit of rest not working out within 24 hours of the shot but I did swim a bit so i can get my arm moving and blood circulating in the jab area.
Yesterday did little working out spinning about 45 minutes staying within my fat burning heart rate and even when for a 3KM walk.

Result I never had a feeling of being sick my arms never felt heavy or sore in a significant way perhaps of the light swim I did ,
I was dosing on 1000 mg Vitamin C and was outdoors in the morning taking Vitamin D .

Had my 2nd dose of Sinovac yesterday.

No other side effects besides the slightly sore arm (jab area).

The health worker said no coffee for a week muna.

No coffee for a week? Why? Will having coffee affect the effectivity of the Sinovac vaccine? I'm not sure I can comply with this. Coffee is an absolute addiction for me. It's what keeps me going at work.

No beer? Will having beer affect the efficacy of Sinovac?

FDA can issue compassionate use permits for any medications or vaccines which have not yet FDA approved for use and since he is the President, he enjoys the privilege to pressure, i mean, ask FDA such a permit.

What bothered me is the President did not use any of the three available FDA approved vaccines currently within the country: Astrazeneca, Sputnik and Sinovac which are approved for use in his particular age group as it is already deemed safe and efficacious. He could have set an example and received either of the readily available vaccines within the country to promote COVID immunization. Instead he opted for a vaccine not accessible yet, let alone approved, for all Filipinos to use. It goes against the espoused belief that "the best vaccine is the one available" and goes to show that with power and wealth, the law can be bent for personal gain.
