Does anyone know where i can get a copy of corel draw for mac? Or is someone willing to at least burn me a copy? LOL..... thanks you guys!
coffeeboi, we do not condone piracy here. You can buy a copy from mac resellers Call them up to inquire.
Besides, Corel already stopped supporting Mac since version 10, I think. You will have to use older versions. Not a lot of Mac people are using Corel thats why they decided to abandon the Mac platform. If I were you, I'd rather use Illustrator or Freehand for vector drawing or Adobe InDesign for page layout. Of course there's Photoshop for your image editing needs. Nothing beats the Adobe seamless integration. Just my two cents. ~hacksaw
corel draw 8 was the last version i used on my mac OS 9. i know i have a copy somewhere but... i'd advice you to use freehand or illustrator na lang.
coreldraw is available for the mac up to v11. you can probably get one at a hefty discount from the resellers (mac or pc software) who have them in stock as both pc and mac versions are included in the retail package. i remember about a year ago, ynzal put that on clearance sale. you might want to ask if they still have a copy in stock.
Yes, the current version is v11, a dual-platform 2002 release for both the PC and the Mac. The PC version sold now will install on a Mac using the same discs. Corel Corporation is the Blizzard Entertainment of the design world. There have been extensive online updates released on the web, making the latest v.11.693, AFAIK. I still use it from time to time, as I did a lot of work on it before. Old habits die hard.
better invest in illustrator, corel is incredibly buggy, slower than a snail, and creates these huge files with no real art in it
@ coffeeboi and iron: My girlfriend uses Corel Draw heavily in designing clothes. When she got her MacBook, she discovered that the Windows Corel Draw is more advanced than the Mac Corel Draw. So she installed Windows XP in her MacBook using Boot Camp. She then installed and now runs Corel Draw in the Windows partition of her Mac. For light Corel jobs, she runs Windows using VMWare Fusion. For heavier jobs, she runs Windows using Boot Camp.
