convert wma to mp3?

    now i'm stuck. don't if there is an existing thread for this, but i want to have an update. is there an apps that can convert this windows based audio format - wma into mp3? i'm also eying for an free apps. i tried switch, but it quits abnormally. is there other apps that i can used? i need a converter for this. thanks a lot again.

    itunes running on windows can do that. :)

    i used switch. i also have flip4mac installed, but it keeps on quitting unexpectedly. don't know why.

    yes i know, but the itunes version on windows converts it into aac. i need the mp3 format. sorry for being oc.

    i tried max, but it cannot open wma. when i search for the file i need to convert, it turns to be in gray. is there any solution? how about some plugins on itunes?

    i searching over the internet for hours for anything that might help me. non of them work :(

    i really need to convert this wma file into mp3.

    With Max launched, check Preferences, Formats, then select the audio file formats you wish to work with...
    You can select multiple formats and just activate/deactivate whichever you need and when...
    You can also tweek with the Encoder Settings for quality/custom settings as well...

    i also tried it, but only 2 kinds of format is appearing. aac, with an 3gp extension and amr extension. hmm.. this is program is free right? almost all formats is there. only wma is missing. also, can this software can convert wmv? sorry for multiple queries and questions. :(

    If you're going to use iTunes to convert, set the Import settings to your preferred format. You can then be able to create a version to your desired format. This explains it better.

    It's a freeware as far as I know...
    Strange but I have a lot of output formats available...

    you can use audio grabber ( kaya lang its for windows ..) just click file-make mp3 then select the wma file to convert .

    under the configured output format tab, one aac and amr was appearing. it appears that it cannot open wma/wmv format.
