We’re using TP-Link mesh routers and haven’t experienced any signal issues so far, but thanks for the heads up about it. Did you set the converge router to bridge mode yourself?

Just the modem-router. That’ll all. Connects 7 devices and smart thingees at the condo. Doesn’t drop a bit. Except during that thunderstorm. Better than that lame-assed PLDT Fiber next door. It sucks at 3mbps.

I also just turn off the wlan of my converge router, connect the converge router to my google wifi before ( now to my unifi ). No need to set to bridge mode

To avoid double NAT, I turn off WiFi on the converge modem, and I set my apple time capsule to bridge mode.

Heads up to those who are on plan 1500. The additional 10Mbps for P99 promo is back for a limited time only (until Dec 31).

I already applied. Your plan becomes 35Mbps (unlimited fiber) for 1599. That's value for money nowhere near what PLDT and Globe have to offer. Sweeeeeet....

Its been 2 weeks since our converge was installed. The modem/router included is FiberHome AN5506-04-FS. The description in the box is it's supported dual band 2.4ghz/5ghz. But I can't find the 5g in our router. I check the router settings and the available channels are only 1-12. Which is for 2.4ghz only. Is theres possibility to activate the dual band of stock modem/router or it will be needed 3rd party router for dual band?

If by Value you mean less 300 for no landline, then I’m perfectly happy with PLDT’s speed boosted 1899 with 30-50mbps (depends on area) w/ landline.

Oh, it seems like PLDT has picked up their game (at least matching the speed) because of the competition. Everyone wins. I have absolutely no need for a landline plus I hate PLDT after being trapped with their crappy service for over a decade so yeah, I'm happy not being forced to shell out 300 bucks for something that will just clutter my home. Not sure if they still do it but I think PLDT notoriously throttles Netflix as well. God bless Coverge :p

They should just make this their regular entry-level plan TBH. Anyway, still bang-for-the-buck.

My friend lives in Bagong Ilog, Pasig and she needs to change internet service provider. Can you recommend Converge? TIA!

It would be better if she ask her neighbors herself. The quality of most ISP's is location-dependent based on my experience.
