I have ClamXav 1.0.8 installed and I could not change the scheduled scan settings. It is asking for an admin password. I tried to input my admin password but it would not accept it. Which password is ClamXav referring to?

It's the admin password, possibly the first admin account created or to which admin account the software was installed it (I doubt it though)

I found the answer. ClamXav won't allow you to change your preferences if you are not logged in as administrator of the computer. It will not work if you logged in as a regular user even if you know the admin password. That is weird.

It should work fine if you're logged in as a normal user as long as you Authorize as an administrator. The problem is usually making sure the user name is entered correctly.

That's what I do but no matter how slowly I type the password, it still says "wrong password". It won't accept it. Everything works fine though when I log in as administrator.

Are you typing the full name of the administrator?

It only asks for the admin password.
