Has anybody tried Cignal? Just got in touch with their CS and installation is P4,900 (includes the dish) for 21 reg channels (standard broadcast that is), and add-on for HD is P390/month (that's for the NBA finals and History Channel). They would still be adding for to their HD line-up. By the way, it's a prepaid service that you have to load up.
Interesting. Dream has sucked badly this past years and Cignal seems promising. Is Cignal the PLDT-owned DTH provider? Do they have a website?
Yeah it's under one of PLDT's company's, Mediascape, under the holding company of Mediaquest. They still don't have a website yet but I just got a hold of their ad in the Philippine Star. You can email them at [email protected].
That's right, I think they initially offered their services in the Bulacan, Rizal, and Laguna areas. It's only now that they are starting in Metro Manila. Looks like they followed the same route in launching like Smart Bro.
i saw a cignal dish in UP technohub. i'm just waiting for their response to my e-mail inquiry (sana meron sa antipolo).
HD is slowly creeping in our country. Skycable is offering two channels, 5000 instalaltion fee and 500 a month addition for two channels, History and Discovery HD
got cignal's reply to my queries last week. i'm seriously consideirng getting this, just waiting for some feedback from actual subscribers. very limited channels at the moment, but i can live with that (almost half the MSF of sky!) . good to know they already serve las pinas & antipolo.
yeah, got a response. additional PhP3,700.00 for another STB & installation. plus PhP312.00 on your MSF. of course that doesn't include added costs if they require longer cables.
are those satellite receivers worth 4,800 pesos in ebay.ph bawal? they don't have any monthly rate but no HD
As tempting as Cignal is, I can't bring myself to subscribe to a service that doesn't carry ESPN or Star Sports. (Dream Satellite no longer carries them as well) Guess I'm stuck with cable.
