I just wanna ask about the original charge capacity of my unibody Macbook. Coconut battery says that my original charge capacity is only 4100 mAh. Do you think this is the normal or a little low? Thanx

dont worry its normal. it also happened that to me, when you open your macbook and when your battery charge is 95% up, it will always say full charge and it will not charge unless your battery charge is below 94%. try unplugged your magsafe and when it reaches below 94% plugged your magsafe and it will charge up to 100%

@jay25: If you want to keep the cycle count down, stay plugged in at all times or close to it. Don't run off of the battery unless it's absolutely necessary. I'm at 12 months and at 78 cycles.

That just means bhoyet keeps his notebook plugged most of the time while you on the other hand tend to use battery power more before plugging it in.

    Mine's at 9 cycles for a near-month old MB.

Pardon my ignorance about this but why do you need to unplug when in sleep mode?

I agree with extremeshot. You actually consume battery power/cycles while in sleep mode, albeit a tiny amount. Why not stay plugged in?

to keep my battery juices flowing...

if i stay plugged in, my battery will not charge unless my charge reaches below 94%

How about just keeping it plugged in and use up the battery power once or twice a month? That would translate to just 8 cycles in 4 months at most and would probably be better for your battery because you need to use up all the juice every now and then.

keeping it plugged in? no, to rest the my magsafe and to conserve electric bills :)D) or an option to shut down your macbook to minimize battery power/cycles count. in my case, i rarely shut down my macbook, as i said on my previous post to keep my battery juices flowing. masyado naman matipid sa cycles count if i always plugged in even on sleep mode. just my thoughts :D

anyone beat my cycle count? 4 months and only 18 cycles
