I tend to backup my project files manually to a CD or DVD, and need a cataloging software to be able to search and retrieve files on occassion. I've used the free Iomega Findit for years, but it's ridiculous to keep launching "Classic" (OS9) interface when I have to search my CD archives' contents. I've tried the shareware Disktracker and find it fast, easy to use and pretty basic which is okay for my needs. I feel ready to buy the program but just wondering if the Philmug community has other (better?) recommendations. Btw, I'm still using OS X Tiger. Thanks!
I catalog all my collections (CD, DVD, books, comics TPB, video games, R/C cars, fountain pens) with FileMaker Pro. It's easy to use once you get to know the basics.
