Finally tried SS3. On ramp at Sanctuarium G.Araneta, off ramp at Cash & Carry Osmena Highway.

QC to Makati and vice versa is certainly achievable in 10 minutes, probably less if we were not limited to 60 kph.

The problem areas are the bottlenecks at the on and off ramps. Northbound, the G. Araneta off ramp stops at the intersection of Araneta and QA, which is perpetually clogged due to the historically slow stoplight, causing the lines to snake up to the off ramp. Same goes southbound, when you get off at Cash and Carry, the stoplight at Buendia Gil Puyat is historically slow too, letting only a few cars go per green light.

Didn't it occur to them that these on and off ramps are going to be potentially huge problems, especially when it's non pandemic times and kids are back to school?

I don't know if they'll make it in time for their February 1 full opening with toll fees. Seems like a lot of areas are still being worked on, and the toll gates haven't been installed yet.

so if you are from SLEX to NLEX to get some coffee:D:

    Calamba Toll Plaza > Skyway - 264
    Skyway > SS3 - 274
    Back and Forth - 538 x 2 = 1076 + NLEX entry/exit

Re the Q.Ave exit, can’t remember where I posted but it might be a good idea to remove the stoplights there. No left turn just straight yung Araneta Ave crossing Q.Ave, or turn right & make a u turn. At least I think traffic would be flowing.

Re the opening, heard rumors that it would be moved to March.

Re rfid, maybe it didn’t work for this one hehe.
