I'd recommend a cd slot holder if you have a cd slot...there are a lot of choices in Lazada/Shopee

I use an aukey and an anker car mount for the aircon vents for my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

I’ve been using the aircon vent mount and has the ball mounted clip for the fone. Yeah, it blocks the aircon vent but otherwise, it holds.

    I got it from Miniso.

I tried the CD slot holder before, but after a few days it broke the plastic bezel around the slot.. Now I just prop it against the speedometer / tachometer. :)

RAM Mounts are expensive but you can configure them according to your needs. Stable too.

CD slot is always the best option for me, no need to use suctions/adhesives that loosen over time due to heat exposure.

Vent-types I don't trust as it puts unnecessary strain on thin pieces of plastic especially when the weight of modern smartphones keep increasing for every new model.

For the longest time I/ve used the Scosche CD slot mount and changed the mount itself to the Pro Charge wireless charger (Scosche's mounts are interchangeable). But because of the iPhone 12 Pro Max magsafe, I've gone back to the traditional ipit-type mount. I'm now using the Spigen Kuel TMS24 bought from their kiosk at SM MOA. Was worried at first that the slot mechanism may not be as good as Scosche's but it's been ok so far.

For magnetic mounts, I preferred using Scosche as they are the original magic mount brand and I've proven over the years that their magnets are safe even with prolonged use on my devices.

It blocks one vent but likewise it cools the back of the phone while it is on waze, charging and connected to apple carplay to my Head unit. RAM mounts are good just a little pricey and was thinking of buying that initially but did not have experience previously with aircon vent mounts so i tried first aukey and anker. Since both mounts were good and stable enough I did not proceed with buying the RAM mount. No regrets for 5 years now.

I presently drive a last Gen City, and it has an empty space beside the head unit which should be perfect for a phone holder...

However, wife and daughter are not allowing me to use the space, so I'm presently using a phone mount (with wireless charging) that uses a cup holder.

City's cup holder are so far from the driver, I can't imagine using it for drinks

Plus one on CD slots for me. there are cheap ones in lazada/ amazon. My wife ordered several for me. just make you get those where you can turn the iphone on panoramic mode. I think those gravity sensor types can't do panoramic.
