sup muggers?! I am having a problem with uninstalling a legit Capture NX on my Macbook. How I uninstall it is by: 1. pop in the cd (window opened up-really weird to say "window") 2. select the uninstall icon. I keep getting this applescript error. "echo 'lsbom -l -f -p fT '/Library/Receipts/Capture NX Setup.pkg/Contents/Archieve.bom' | grep 'Application Support/Nikon/Capture NX'`" doesn't understand the <<event sysoexec>> message. (-1708). Need help on this. I know that to uninstall an app is to just drag it to the trash but I want full uninstall as I have a mistake of NOT READING FIRST (CAPTURE NX 1.3 NOT COMPATIBLE YET WITH 10.5.5 aka Leopard). Any suggestions will do except "go back to windows"... Thank you.
my bad dude.... i've realized that I have posted a thread on wrong forum so I re-added it here.... won't happen again... sowee.
@dryxx. it's a nikon apps for their raw files (and other cameras', too). On my first two point&shoot digital camera, they produced jpeg files. With dSLR, you have the options of having to take pictures with RAW (NEF for Nikon) or jpeg or both. Good thing about RAW files you can transfer this a thousand times or more, and the resolutions stays the same, unlike jpeg. But then, your sacrifice is large file. as per capture nx, you can modify (tone, lights, vignette, etc ) raw files and produce great contrast on your pictures. www.nikon.ca/products.html for more info.
there seems to be an error on the script. the apostrophe (') before lsbom should be a back-tick (`). because of this, the quotes are all wrong. this uninstaller won't work. try searching their website for an updated un-installer.
Hello, This is my first message... I'm brand new to that forum and brand new to Mac!!!! I have the same problem. Please help me: where do you modify this line (echo 'ls...) ? In which file/directory? Thanks, Franck
