Hi PhilMUG, I got my mom a brand new iMac from a seller online. (It was brand new, and before purchase, I checked the warranty and it was unregistered) anyway, everything was well. It still is; however, i tried updating her iLife apps (iPhoto, iMovie, etc.) and it shows me this text: "these apps were already assigned to another apple id, and they will be available in that Apple ID’s purchases list. If you don’t have access to that Apple id and want to receive future updates, you will need to purchase the application” and then another window pops up “this update is not available for this apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled” this isn’t a matter of life and death. i just wanted to know if any of you know how to resolve this. i’ve my own mac, and i knew that it was brand new when opened the mac. let me know if you have a solution or suggestion for this situation. thanks!
