I've been saving up for APP for my MBP the past few months and I just got the money to buy one today. I would check pretty much every week for the past 2 months online about my warranty and it would say it expires on April 15, 2009. I checked yesterday and it said it expires on the 15th.

I just got my APP and I tried to activate it and it says I can't! I don't have an official receipt as it was given to me by my uncle from the US. So I checked online again and now it said the warranty is already expired!!!

Now I don't have an official receipt and I emailed my uncle and he checked his records and it said his order was on the end of February last year.

What do I do??? I emailed Apple about the situation. I just spent quite a lot of money and now it seems my warranty is over and that money I just spent is going to waste!

    Any help please

I can only wish you have the screenshot of the warranty date shown in your first warranty check to have leverage on this. That's the only way you can have Apple give you a free pass. hmmm...why not try to call instead of email? You'd be luckier to have sympathy over the phone than an email. They may be able to track the changes in warranty end dates as you mentioned.

I hope you can get the APP registered.

How do I call Apple from Manila? I'd like to try calling them up.

hmmmmm... your uncle bought it on END OF FEB 2008? of course its expired.

what you need it the PROOF OF PURCHASE of your macbook pro.... to prove that you bought that unit on april 15, 2008

    call using landline 1-800-1441-0234

usually we suggest that you register at least 1 month before the actual date you got your apple products.

Yup I know it's expired, but the whole time I thought it was April 15 through the Apple website.

Anyway I emailed Apple about it and I'm quite lucky as they somehow accepted my APP registration! Thank goodness.

Wow! So, all's well that ends well.
Anyway, about registering APP a month before your original warranty expires, I actually had an experience the other day (March 31) when this guy who bought an APP from me was in such a hurry because his warranty was expiring the same day. good thing his registration was still accepted.
