Can't add friends in iChat

It always gets an "AIM Error. The server refused this request" message.

I have one buddy on my list (I just got this Macbook, after all), but he's the one who added me so I can't figure out if it's just my other friend's account that's causing the problem.

I've already tried deleting the .plist file, and changing the port to 443. But it still can't add my friend.

 

Well, since I haven't found a way to fix it, I created an AIM account instead.

Voila! It worked!
