Cannot open Entourage (was "Help!")

    i can't get my entourage to open and i need to recover some important email that was saved in it. would anyone know which folder it's saved in? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

    You mean you just don't know where the files automatically go? Or is it acting up like this?

    maryanne: actually, when i try to boot it up, a box appears to say that this version of entourage will not work with "this identity". ive tried creating a new user, it still does not work

    ibook: hi there. how do you rebuild the database?

    There is a database utility that comes with MS office use spotlight to look for it.
    Use it to repair / rebuild your identity

    press down option key on the keyboard before launching the Entourage.

    rebuilt database na, still does not work. hay, think i need to reinstall the entire MS Office suite. thing is, ill lose all my old email. kakainis, this is the first time this has happened to any of my software apps on any of my macs. bad trip.

    anyway, thanks for the help guys.

    No, you won't lose your database (emails, contacts, notes) if you reinstall Office 2004. Look in your Home folder and under Documents, look for Microsoft User Data, then Office 2004 Identities, then Main Identity (that should be you). Your database is there.
