    My current set up:

    iMovie 6.0.3 (267.2)
    Quicktime 7.4.5 (25)
    OSX: 10.4.11

I used to be able to apply transitions. I am in the middle of a project now i cannot finish it because i cannot apply those transitions... this is what happens:

I import clip A and clip B. I go to editing and then to transitions. The preview works when i choose whatever transition there is. I usually press the check mark to apply the transition but it doesn't go through. The option to ADD the transition is also grayed out!

I am not sure if it is because of the recent updates, but that is what happened before i had this problem... I hope someone can help me... AGAIN I am not sure if this is really caused by the update... getting kinda desperate guys... Here is a screenshot (pls note the grayed out add button):
