We discussed this briefly during the philbug meet last Sunday. Yup, everyone agrees that this a fantastic service! I think Iya's cousin has tried this in the States and so has Daniel Dy's relatives. They attest to the quality. Well, there's always Johnny Air Cargo for the cheaper delivery here.

Man, I thought when Steve said in his previous keynote that they'd start shipping books worldwide, he really meant *worldwide*. As it is, Apple's iPhoto page only states that they ship on the following countries: USA & Canada, Japan, and Europe (including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom). :(

Did I miss something, though? I really want to order books myself (I'm planning to give my mother a gift).

Oo nga, misleading yung sinabi ni Steve na worldwide.

I thought maybe at the very least Australia would be included... sigh. I'd really want to have my baby girl's photos turn into a coffeebook for her lolos and lolas.

Does this mean that we can order the books from the Philippines and it will be shipped to an address in these countries? or does the order have to originate in the listed countries?

Has anyone successfully ordered a book from within the Philippines or did you course it through a relative?

it would be a hit here in the philippines if Apple would allow it. as far as domestic business is concerned, picture this inc (shangrila) and i think picture co (podium) are offerring this kind of production. the downside though is you have to have your picture taken there

You guys should check out PICTURE BOOKS in Glorieta. They have exactlty the service you are looking for. They are in side Goodwill bookstore. I know this because I had my daughter's bppk done there. Super good quality and plenty of potions. They even have hardbound books. Go try it. Highly recommended. BTW, I'm not a part owner, just a really satisfied customer.

Thanks Pocket Rocket! Yes, we do accept orders for books coming from iPhoto. If you want to lay it out yourselves using iPhoto you can just save it as a PDF and bring it to us, or you can come over to our store and we can assist on the layout on the iMac. (Picturebooks in Glorietta 3 front space Goodwill Bookstore across Cibo). For those in Quezon City we also have it in Centralbooks 927 Quezon Avenue, Q.C.

    Here's a brochure/flyer of the service including rates http://www.central.com.ph/picturebooks.jpg

Centralbooks in Quezon Avenue is located in Phoenix Building, on the right side if you're coming down from EDSA, its right after the corner of Roosevelt Avenue, its right beside the Good Samaritan Church. Here's a map link http://www.central.com.ph/page2/DirectionsQA.htm

Please let me know if you have any other questions or comments, I'd love to get some more feedback as we've just launched the service this month.
