Of course you can, I'm running Leopard on my 1.2Ghz iBook G4 and it works flawlessly. Just remember to update to 10.5.6 after installation.

I Think PPC models works faster on Tiger than leopard since Apple is slowly letting go of the infrastructure.

We had a 12" iBook G4 running with only 768MB RAM running for about a year.
Yes it'll work. The iBook was sold for a MacBook this Christmas, the new owner is still running Leopard on it now.

    10.4 is tiger, 10.5 is leopard...see, we're confused already

so what is it that you want to do...upgrade panther to tiger or leopard?

    first things first
