Of course you can, I'm running Leopard on my 1.2Ghz iBook G4 and it works flawlessly. Just remember to update to 10.5.6 after installation.
tnx po. @night 1.5gb na po ram ko. eto na gawin ko na. will give feedback after matapos po.,,,sana...hehe
I Think PPC models works faster on Tiger than leopard since Apple is slowly letting go of the infrastructure.
We had a 12" iBook G4 running with only 768MB RAM running for about a year. Yes it'll work. The iBook was sold for a MacBook this Christmas, the new owner is still running Leopard on it now. Leo

you could be using the wrong cd/dvd installer ...what does it says on the disc? where'd you get it from?
10.4 is tiger, 10.5 is leopard...see, we're confused already so what is it that you want to do...upgrade panther to tiger or leopard? first things first
